About Cottons & Chai

We are two sisters with an affection for all things crafty. Our idea of the perfect afternoon is to play with fabric while sipping a cup of chai, or two. And that's how Cottons & Chai came to be- the online home of our small independent crafting venture.

What we want to do...

To Make delightful and functional objects.

To Design patterns for other sewing enthusiasts.

To Teach sewing and crafting skills to anyone (ages 3 to 103!) who is eager to find their creative groove.

To Share book reviews, ideas, inspiration and tutorials on this blog.

Who we are...

Nupur loves to knit and crochet and is newly in love with sewing and quilting. She has been writing a food blog called One Hot Stove since 2005. Her role in this project is to provide blogging support and moral support in large doses. Nupur lives in North Eastern Georgia in the Southern US, amid sweet-smelling magnolia trees.

Kashmira loves being surrounded by fabric and its kin to come up with interesting designs. In 2011 she started a small fabric accessories business venture called Kala Koyree. Her role entails using all that moral support to bring forth new patterns and ideas. Kashmira currently lives in Minneapolis in the upper US Mid-West.

We would love to hear from you. Please leave a comment on the blog or e-mail us at cottonsandchai@gmail.com
